Euro 2008 Qualifying: Israel 0 - 0 England

Because I am a masochist, I went to the pub yesterday to watch this. And England weren’t
egregiously awful, but they certainly weren’t good either. At least I got some half-decent eggs
benedict out of it. And also beer. Beer is essential.

I’m going to do this in bullet points, in no particular order, because I don’t think I need to be

USA Today

I am a critic of Landon, doesn’t show for big games, etc. Ecuador was in the world cup in 06, they
are a good South American team. Landon showed up big today with the hat trick, maybe marriage suits
him well. So hats off to Landon, lets hope he keeps it up. Five more goals and he is the all time
goal leader in USA history.

The announcing team, seems we have to comment on them; it is a soccer game not baseball no one
cares about the Red Sox or Yankees, I don’t care about Springsteen.
