US WNT 3 – 2 Sweden

Goals by Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd (that’s a goal in 3 consecutive games for her) gave the US a
2-0 lead at halftime. Sweden cut the lead in half with around 17 minutes to play, before Wambach
put in a 2nd goal on 76 minutes that would eventually be the game winner after a late Sweden
penalty.

The US advances now to face Denmark in the Algarve Cup Final, despite Denmark’s 3-0 loss to Germany
in their final group match.
