Alessandro Nesta gave his opinion regarding transfers in Serie A and the power it has the Italian championship at the moment. The defender of the American grouping, Montreal, noticed a considerable drop of Italian football, and was shocked when he heard that Juventus managed to get the signature of Carlos Tevez.
The former Italian international, reached at the age of 37, chose at the end of 2011/2012 season a transfer in MLS and now sees the football in La Liga, Premier League or Bundesliga beyond what provides Serie A. This is due to the financial power which hit quite seriously Italy in recent years, as reflected in transfers made ??by clubs in his home country.
“There’s no money in Italy at the moment and the best players go to play in other leagues – Spain, England, Germany. Italy’s going down,” said the Italian defender for BBC.
“It’s a very good signing. A player like Tevez, I didn’t think would play in Serie A now. Juventus did a good job.”
Regarding his former coach who reached at Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, Nesta is sure will make a good to the team in the Spanish capital, because the Italian tactician is used to working in difficult conditions, being always under pressure during his time at Milan .
“He is the best coach for Madrid. Madrid is a difficult place to coach. There’s a lot of pressure and Ancelotti is very good when he’s under pressure. Berlusconi and Galliani, all the time, wanted the best for the team. The pressure was very, very hard but Carlo Ancelotti, everyday, had a smile. He was perfect.” added Nesta.
Alessandro Nesta has been one of the Rossoneri’s pillars in defense from 2002 to 2012, when he left the San Siro club for a transfer to the Montreal Impact in MLS.
