Florentino Perez wants to bring back Raul Gonzalez to the club that made him famous in world football. According to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, president of Real Madrid took advantage of the trip to Qatar, where Ancelotti’s team played a friendly match against PSG last week, to be reunited with the former captain of Real Madrid, and offered him a job in the club that, most of the 18 years he spent on Santiago Bernabeu was called “Raul Madrid”, and which he left in 2010.
The intention of the president of the team in the capital of Spain is to have the Real’s symbol in club’s flowchart from next season, he being part of a plan to “strengthen” the club with former glories. Zinedine Zidane is already one of the most important players that Los Blancos have had in the past, and now deals with training the players, being the assistant coach of Carlo Ancelotti.
The first meeting for this purpose between the two took place on August 22 when Raul played with his team Al Sadd a friendly match at the Santiago Bernabeu. The intention of Raul Blanco Gonzalez is to play one more year and then to retire from football, once that will reach the age of 37 years old.
Although he wants to adopt a coaching career after he quit the football, Raul is tempted to accept the proposal made by Florentino Perez, at least until graduation as manager. But the decision will depend on the willingness of his family, that would agree to return to Madrid.
